MIZUNO RUNNING

PR & Social

We mailed 600 high-profile runners a mysterious invitation to join The Mezamashii Run Project, a selective club where chosen runners received a free pair of new Mizunos to test and keep – and free pairs to send other runners they deemed worthy.

Digital & Social

What if any runner could raise money to fight homelessness simply by going for a run?
We created the Mizuno Baton app to make it happen.

For every mile run with the baton, Mizuno donated $1 to Back on My Feet, a nonprofit that uses the power of running to help people turn their lives around. Runners shared their totals from the app to their social feeds, passed the baton and cheered leaderboard positions.

Video & PR Activation

Mizuno created conversation with a provocative campaign question: "What if everybody ran?" And then we answered it. We commissioned a statistical analysis with The University of Chapel Hill to see how communities might change for the better with more runners in them. And then we turned the eye-popping results into brand engagement.
